Here’s a table top review of our VTP Sling; this is basically a 2-1 point sling. To allow this operation of our sling we use a QD Triglide made by Impact Weapons Components. The QD Triglide allows the attachment of a QD push button swivel, HK snap hook, and M.A.S.H. hooks; though the best attachment device we found for our VTP is the QD. For our QDs we chose to use stainless steel QDs made by Troy Industries; our M.A.S.H. hooks and HK snap hooks (C.L.A.S.H.) are made by ITW.

This is my homemade hammock and some of the updates and upgrades I’ve made in the last few days. I added a hammock ridgeline and adjusted it to 89 percent vice the 83 percent offered (its a personal preference value).

The hammock is made from ripstop nylon purchased at JoAnn Fabrics. I hemmed it up and sewed the channels in the ends. The whoopie slings were made following the Samson Rope diagrams.

Much of the design and credit belong to Shug and the folks at hammockforums.
